The program of the Advanced Diploma of Leadership and Management for engineers is composed of 10 units of competency, which will be delivered over 18 months. Each unit includes weekly live and interactive webinars with an experienced lecturer, set readings, and assessments comprising of either written assignments, quizzes, or short activities.

Graduates (as engineering para-professionals) will be able to:

Entry to this qualification is limited to those who:

Have completed a Diploma or Advanced Diploma from the BSB Training Package (current or superseded equivalent versions).

Have two years equivalent full-time relevant workplace experience in an operational or leadership role in an enterprise. Please refer to the qualification outline.

As well as the above, students must also have the following;

Satisfactory English language proficiency at an English pass level in a Senior Certificate of Education or equivalent;

A specified level of achievement in a recognized English language test such as: IELTS (or equivalent) at a score of at least 5.5 (with no individual band score less than 5.0); or equivalent;

Satisfactory completion of another course offered by EIT, or by another tertiary institution, in English

VET Student Loan (VSL) Program is available for this course:

VSL approved course, maximum tuition fee for Australian students: AUD $8,568.00

This means eligible students can use a VET Student Loan to pay their tuition fees up to a maximum loan cap amount, to be repaid through the Australian Taxation System.

If you have been approved for a VET Student Loan, the borrowed amount will be incurred as a debt that is repayable to the Commonwealth government.

Please note: Not all lecturers and instructors listed on this page will teach every course. The team teaching your course will be confirmed as part of your course enrolment.

You are expected to spend approximately 10-15 hours per week attending live webinars, learning the program material, and completing assessments. This includes attending weekly webinars that run for about 90 minutes to facilitate class discussion and allow you to ask questions. This program has a 70% attendance requirement in the live webinars in order to graduate from the program. If you are unable to attend the live webinars, you have the option of watching the recording of completed webinars and sending a summary of what you have learned from the webinar to the Learning Support Officer. The summaries go towards your attendance requirement for the program.

This program is run online on an intensive part-time basis and has been designed to fit around full-time work. It will take 18 months to complete.

We understand that sometimes work commitments and personal circumstances can get in the way of your studies, so if at any point you feel that you are struggling with the pace of the course or finding a particular module challenging, you are encouraged to contact your designated Learning Support Officer for assistance.

Application Deadline
You must submit your application at least one week before the start date to be considered for your desired intake.

Census Date
A census date is the date at which an enrolment is considered to be final. Any withdrawal you make after the study period census date will incur an academic penalty (for example, a fail grade) and a financial penalty (for example, no refund of your student contribution or tuition fees).
